Hoob Factory automation enhances Foxway’s circular tech

Hoob Factory Automation has recently developed a sophisticated automation system for Foxway Recommerce, a major player in Europe’s circular technology and electronics reuse sector. The project was driven by Foxway’s need to efficiently process large volumes of devices as part of their commitment to extending the life of electronics, all while reducing reliance on manual handling.

The solution delivered by Hoob features a fully integrated system that streamlines Foxway’s operations. It includes advanced Cognex Corporation vision technology for quick item identification, three KUKA 6-axis robots for automated picking, and smart conveyors to maintain a seamless workflow between each stage. This integration allows for a continuous, well-coordinated process with robust traceability and high throughput.

This collaboration demonstrates how combining automation with circular technology can make electronics reuse not only more environmentally friendly but also scalable. By merging robotics, machine vision, and intelligent software, the project highlights the potential for automation to drive efficiency and sustainability in the tech reuse industry.
