Breezy pioneers Apple’s automatic MacBook diagnostic tool

Breezy has become the first company in Europe to integrate Apple’s automatic diagnostic tool for MacBooks into its trade-in platform, marking a significant advance for the sustainable technology market. This follows the firm’s earlier adoption of Apple’s iPhone diagnostic tool, and demonstrates Breezy’s ongoing commitment to introducing the most innovative and user-friendly solutions for device reuse. The move is expected to drive growth in the second-hand laptop sector by streamlining the evaluation process and boosting consumer confidence in refurbished MacBooks.

The new diagnostic system replicates the seamless trade-in experience found in Apple Stores. It enables automated, precise checks on MacBooks in as little as five minutes, without the need to install any additional applications. This means that trade-in assessments are swift, accurate, and can be conducted in real-time, allowing shop staff to maintain customer engagement throughout the process. As a result, more thoroughly tested MacBooks with warranty will reach the second-life market, giving buyers increased assurance and value.

Breezy’s CEO,  Andrii Kosar stated that they “..see strong growth potential in the 2nd-life laptop category. By integrating Apple’s automatic diagnostic tool for MacBooks into our Trade-In system, we’ve made it significantly easier to evaluate these devices. That means more high-quality, tested MacBooks with warranty in the re-use market. More trust. More value. More devices getting a second life.”

Breezy’s latest update is available to all its trade-in partners, with no extra charges or training required, and integrates directly into the existing Breezy system. The tool is now accessible to more than 50 major retailers and mobile operators across Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Africa. By making high-quality, warranty-backed MacBooks more widely available, Breezy is continuing its mission to promote sustainability, foster innovation, and accelerate the adoption of circular technology throughout the region.
