Faume expands in Europe and launches in the UK and Italy

Faume, a pioneering platform for second-hand fashion and luxury brands, has announced the successful completion of an €8 million funding round. Founded in July 2020 by Aymeric Déchin, Nicolas Viant, Jocelyn Kerbourc’h, and Lucas Patricot, the company has grown to become a key player in the French premium and luxury fashion resale market. Backed by new investor Amundi Private Equity Transition Juste, alongside existing supporters Daphni and Bpifrance, Faume aims to accelerate its European expansion, starting with the UK and Italian markets.

The additional funding will enable Faume to further its mission of transforming the fashion industry by driving sustainable practices and growth across Europe. The UK, already a leading market for innovation in fashion, and Italy, a rising player in the second-hand sector, are now key focuses for the company. Faume recently secured its first UK collaboration with the iconic Victoria Beckham brand, marking a significant milestone in its expansion efforts. By helping brands embrace resale under their own labels, Faume offers a sustainable alternative while maintaining their premium positioning. Since its inception, the company has facilitated the resale of over 300,000 premium second-hand pieces, with more than 40% sold outside France. In 2024 alone, its efforts saved over 4,200 tonnes of CO₂ through clothing reuse and refurbishment.

With this new funding, Faume plans to strengthen its commercial and technical teams and support 150 brands within the next four years. A key part of this strategy includes launching its proprietary AI-powered “Dynamic Pricing” tool in 2025, which will allow brands to offer more competitive pricing in the resale market. Already partnering with over 45 prestigious brands such as Isabel Marant, Lacoste, and Ami Paris, Faume is redefining the second-hand fashion landscape by offering an alternative to traditional marketplaces. Its innovative platform enables brands to retain control over their image, pricing, and distribution, while providing a seamless, premium experience to customers. With plans to expand to North America and Asia in the future, Faume is setting the stage to become a global leader in the fast-growing second-hand fashion industry.
