Ringy ranks among Eastern Europe’s fastest-growing startups

Sifted’s latest Leaderboards have highlighted the most rapidly expanding startups in Eastern Europe and the Baltics, ranking them by revenue growth over the past three financial years. Among the 30 featured companies, Ringy has secured an impressive third place overall and is recognised as the fastest-growing startup in Estonia. The list is notable for its strong Estonian presence, with nearly half of the rankings occupied by startups from the country.

Ringy’s recent progress has been exemplified by the successful deployment of its Pandas machines in three Tele2 Eesti stores. These machines offer a simple in-store process: customers bring in their devices, the machine evaluates their condition, complete with interactive functionality tests and in return customers receive a Tele2 gift card valid for three months. This innovative approach aims to streamline device trade-ins while encouraging the reuse and recycling of electronics.

The company’s mission was further refined during its participation in the Startup Wise Guys accelerator programme in 2021, where it gained crucial insights into business development and societal impact. A key motivator for Ringy’s commitment to sustainability was learning that there are approximately 800 million unused electronic devices languishing in European homes, twice the population of the continent. This discovery has driven Ringy to champion the reuse and responsible recycling of electronics, addressing both environmental and economic challenges in the tech sector.
