Turkish marketplace EasyCep secures $11 Million investment boost

Refurbed conquers new markets in Europe

EasyCep, a company specializing in refurbished electronic products, is championing responsible shopping and sustainability. As the largest market for refurbished electronics in Turkey, EasyCep offers consumers a practical and eco-friendly alternative to new electronics, emphasizing quality and environmental impact. The company secured $11 million in Series A funding last year to support its mission of mainstreaming refurbished electronics. EasyCep is transforming the gray market in new countries by leveraging its technology to legalize and organize it.

CEO Mehmet Akif Ozdemir is dedicated to this mission, stating, “We want to bring environment-friendly products to our customers without compromising on quality. This way, they receive a reliable product while contributing to a sustainable future.”

According to the Global E-waste Monitor 2024, the world generated 57.4 million metric tonnes of electronic waste in 2023, with only 20% properly recycled. This highlights the urgent need for sustainable and immediate solutions in electronics consumption and recycling.

EasyCep’s program encourages consumers to take action in reducing electronic waste and supporting a circular economy by buying and selling used devices. This initiative aims to build a new economy based on high-quality, safe, and reliable recycled electronic devices.
