Orange subsidiary YOXO and Romanian phone reseller Flip announce collaboration

Romania’s YOXO, affiliated with Orange, will partner with second-hand phone vendor Flip. During the promotion from March 1 to May 31, Flip customers purchasing a used smartphone will get the first month of their YOXO plan free, whether it’s €2, €4, or €8. Redeeming this offer requires downloading the YOXO app, registering, and scanning the QR code received or entering the given discount code.

As the country’s original fully digital mobile operator, YOXO enables customers to complete all actions, from registration to support, via its app. Operating on Orange’s robust 4G+/5G network, YOXO is leading the way in innovation and has now added second-hand phones to its portfolio, setting a trend for others in the industry.

Alex Burghelia, co-founder of Flip.ro emphasises that “With our partnership with YOXO, we promote smart and budget-friendly choices by combining Flip used phones with flexible plans for the benefit of consumers. Furthermore, we are excited to have a partner that encourages environmentally friendly choices, with reduced impact solutions, both in terms of devices and data plans, in a simple, fast and accessible way for every customer”.

Leading the pack in Romania’s technology scene, Flip specializes in buying and selling second-hand phones. Since becoming a part of the eMAG family in 2021, it has received an €8 million infusion and grown its staff to more than 200. With operations in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Greece, Flip has attracted over 300,000 individual customers and 9,000 companies to its platform.
