Indeed Innovation, a consulting firm specialising in the circular economy, has recognised Deutsche Telekom as a “Circular Transformer” among DAX 40 companies. This accolade highlights Deutsche Telekom’s ambitious circular economy goals and its transparent reporting on achievements. The firm’s whitepaper examines how German companies are adopting circular economy practices, a crucial component of the EU Green Deal.

The whitepaper also introduces a ‘Circularity Index’ for DAX 40 companies, showcasing their sustainability goals and successes. Deutsche Telekom’s recognition underscores its leadership in sustainability and commitment to advancing the circular economy within the corporate sector. The study highlights Deutsche Telekom’s ambitious goal of achieving a fully circular economy by 2030, leveraging proven practices like leasing and returning telephony and ICT equipment, and developing a market for used handsets and recycling infrastructure.

To recall, Indeed Innovation defines Circular Transformers as companies that maintain the value of products throughout their lifecycle using take-back programs for refurbishment and repair, as well as innovative models like product sharing and closed material and energy cycles. These companies contribute to the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 2°C.
