Apple has recently begun offering refurbished iPhone 15 models in Europe, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 16 series. While the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max were discontinued, customers can still find these models available for purchase in select European countries. The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus continue to be sold on Apple’s website, but the refurbished versions provide an opportunity for buyers to acquire the Pro models officially at a discount.
This week, refurbished iPhone 15 models, including the Pro and Pro Max variants, became available on Apple’s online stores in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. This is a notable first for Apple in Europe, as it has not previously offered refurbished iPhones in the region. For example, the refurbished iPhone 15 with 128GB storage is priced at €739 in France, reflecting a €130 saving from its original retail price of €869.
Currently, only the standard iPhone 15 models are available as refurbished devices in these countries, but the inclusion of the iPhone 15 Plus and Pro models is anticipated soon. Although these models appear in the online store, they are not yet clickable for purchase. All refurbished iPhones are sold unlocked and without any contractual obligations, making them compatible with various carriers.
Refurbished iPhones come with a one-year warranty similar to new devices, along with all necessary accessories, a new battery, and an exterior shell that makes them nearly indistinguishable from brand-new models. This initiative not only offers consumers a more affordable option but also aligns with Apple’s sustainability goals by minimising electronic waste. As demand for these devices is expected to be high, potential buyers are encouraged to act quickly.
