Renewtech’s acquisition helps expand its european refurbished it reach

Renewtech has taken over Harrogate‑based Intelligent Servers, strengthening its position in the European refurbished‑IT market and expanding the group’s operational footprint. The deal allows Renewtech to offer faster EU delivery by shipping from its Denmark warehouse, helping customers avoid import VAT and customs delays while accessing a broader range of enterprise hardware.

Through the acquisition, customers gain a wider selection of refurbished servers, storage and networking equipment from major vendors such as Dell, Lenovo, Fujitsu and IBM, alongside more competitive pricing supported by Renewtech’s scale. Intelligent Servers, founded by Andy Hughes and active for around two decades, has built a strong reputation across Europe. Hughes said the partnership opens new opportunities while keeping the same trusted team in place.

Intelligent Servers will continue operating as a key UK base within the group while contributing to Renewtech’s wider technical R&D and product engineering efforts. The move reflects ongoing consolidation in the refurbished enterprise IT sector, where companies seek greater scale, stronger supplier networks and smoother cross‑border logistics. Observers will be watching integration progress, pricing shifts on key OEM lines and the potential for further acquisitions in 2026.
