Assurant has entered into a partnership with Dutch mobile operator hollandsnieuwe to introduce mobile device protection services to its customer base for the first time, expanding its presence in the Netherlands and strengthening its position in Europe’s mobile insurance market.
The agreement enables hollandsnieuwe subscribers to choose between two protection tiers: a standard plan covering accidental damage, and a premium option that also includes theft and loss. The offering has been designed with a fully digital, online-first customer journey, allowing users to manage enrolment and claims seamlessly. Customers can also opt for an expedited fulfilment service, with device replacement or repair delivered within one working day.
For hollandsnieuwe, the launch represents a move to broaden its value-added services beyond connectivity, while enhancing the overall customer experience. For Assurant, the partnership supports its strategy of deepening relationships with mobile operators and expanding distribution channels for device protection solutions across key European markets.
Both companies said the collaboration reflects a shared focus on simplicity, transparency and reliability, as operators increasingly look to bundle insurance and protection services into their core mobile offerings.
