Coolblue expands into berlin

Dutch electronics retailer Coolblue has entered the Berlin market with the opening of a new logistics centre near Berlin‑Brandenburg Airport, a move that strengthens its regional presence while supporting more sustainable delivery operations. The 2,600‑square‑metre depot will handle next‑day deliveries and appliance installations across Greater Berlin and parts of eastern Germany, allowing the company to reduce transport distances and cut emissions by keeping fulfillment closer to customers. Smaller items such as smartphones and laptops will continue to be shipped nationwide through DHL, maintaining efficient, consolidated parcel flows.

As part of its broader expansion strategy, the retailer is also preparing to open a 1,756‑square‑metre store on Tauentzienstraße next year, located between Kurfürstendamm and KaDeWe. The new shop aims to offer an engaging, service‑driven experience with expert advice, hands‑on product demonstrations and digital tools that help customers make better‑informed choices, an approach that encourages longer product lifecycles and more thoughtful purchasing, aligning with Coolblue’s sustainability principles.

According to country manager Urs Möller, the Berlin expansion is not just about commercial growth but also about modernising electronics retail with service‑centric and environmentally conscious operations. By combining local warehousing, energy‑efficient deliveries and durable product support, Coolblue says it hopes to inspire customers while reducing the ecological footprint associated with traditional electronics retailing.
