EIZO Corporation has announced the launch of the ColorEdge CG2400S, a 24.1-inch colour management monitor designed for creative professionals in fields such as photography, video editing, and graphic design. As the successor to the CG2420, this new model introduces HDR workflow support for the first time in the 24.1-inch range of the CG series. Significantly, it is also the first ColorEdge monitor to feature housing made from over 85% recycled plastic, marking a step forward in EIZO’s sustainability initiatives.
The CG2400S combines advanced functionality with cutting-edge performance. It offers WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution and a high contrast ratio of 1800:1, delivering deep blacks and exceptional detail, even in shadowed areas. Its built-in retardation film ensures colour accuracy is maintained when viewed from different angles, providing lifelike tones without distortion. For HDR workflows, the CG2400S supports hybrid log-gamma (HLG) and perceptual quantization (PQ) curves, enabling professionals to display and edit HDR content with precision. Additionally, the inclusion of a USB Type-C® input streamlines connectivity by allowing users to connect laptops and peripherals with a single cable, while also delivering 70W of power to connected devices for a clutter-free workspace.
EIZO’s commitment to both user convenience and environmental responsibility is evident in the CG2400S. It includes features like built-in calibration technology, powered by ColorNavigator 7 software, which ensures consistent colour accuracy over time without the need for external calibration tools. For video professionals, the Sync Signal function and Pixel Inspection tool simplify workflows by automatically adjusting settings and verifying technical parameters. Sustainability is at the core of its design, with the monitor’s housing made from recycled plastic and its packaging crafted from eco-friendly materials like moulded pulp. This reflects EIZO’s dedication to reducing plastic waste and promoting a circular economy while delivering high-performance tools for creative industries.
