Emporia appoints TMT First as UK repair partner

Emporia Telecom has selected Staffordshire-based TMT First as its official UK service and repair partner, supporting the Austrian brand’s expanding range of devices designed for older users. TMT First operates one of the country’s largest tech repair centres, with around 70 technicians handling up to 250,000 devices annually. The company has broadened into IT asset disposal and collaborates with OEMs, distributors, resellers, insurers and emergency services. In 2025, it received a King’s Award for Innovation, and it has worked with the Department for Education to launch the UK’s first Digital Device Repair Technician apprenticeship.

Explaining the choice, Emporia’s UK & Ireland sales manager Ryan Trendell said the partner needed the scale to cope with a wider product mix while remaining agile enough to tailor services, criteria TMT First meets. The tie-up aims to ensure fast, accurate repairs and consistent after-sales support as Emporia grows its presence through retailers including Currys, AO, Very and Amazon.

Emporia recently introduced the SMART 7 smartphone line, running Android with accessibility features such as hearing aid compatibility, a switchable interface, a dedicated one-touch button to Google Gemini, and the built-in emporia coach app. TMT First’s director of sales and purchasing, Jaime De Caso, praised Emporia’s portfolio for supporting vulnerable users and highlighted shared values around sustainability, prioritising “repair over replace” to extend device lifecycles
