JCB rugged phones land in Slovakia with Orange Slovensko

Telcos has introduced the British JCB Phone brand to Slovakia through an exclusive partnership with Orange Slovensko, marking a new option for customers who need durable, work-ready devices. The collaboration, supported by Orange leaders Michal Svec and Michal Topolsky and driven by JCB Phone CEO Roy Taylor, is set to expand into additional markets in the near future.

Built on JCB’s heritage of toughness from construction and heavy machinery, the range brings that same resilience to consumer and enterprise mobility. The lineup includes the Tradesman 4, a rugged IP69K feature phone aimed at demanding field roles, and the Toughphone P20, a MIL‑spec, IP68/IP69K smartphone designed for extended battery life and harsh environments. The P20 places particular emphasis on imaging, pairing a high‑resolution main camera with stabilised video and strong low‑light performance, and can be configured with an integrated thermal camera to detect heat signatures for rapid diagnostics on site.

These devices are tailored for field engineers, maintenance teams, inspectors, and crews working in remote or hazardous locations. For enterprise customers, the promise is higher on‑the‑job productivity, safer operations, and richer data capture, especially where thermal imaging adds fast, actionable insights for maintenance, service, and logistics.
