PanzerGlass and ege partner to promote sustainable device protection

PanzerGlass has appointed ege as its official distributor in the UK, aiming to deliver its range of screen protectors and cases to both business and consumer markets. This collaboration is set to enhance the availability of PanzerGlass products, which are designed to safeguard smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices, helping users extend the lifespan of their technology. As consumers increasingly seek to keep their devices in use for longer, the emphasis on robust protection solutions becomes a key element in reducing electronic waste.

Sustainability stands at the heart of this partnership, with both PanzerGlass and ege committed to supporting the circular economy. PanzerGlass has achieved Corporate Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification, guaranteeing that its products contain 60% certified recycled glass and 100% certified recycled plastic. This certification not only verifies the recycled content, but also reflects responsible supply chain practices, covering traceability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. By prioritising recycled materials, the partnership encourages more sustainable consumption and helps minimise the environmental footprint associated with device accessories.

The companies are confident that their shared focus on product quality and sustainability will resonate with UK customers, supporting greener choices in the technology sector. By making high-quality, eco-friendly protection solutions more accessible, PanzerGlass and ege are helping to promote longer device lifecycles and reduce the impact of electronic waste, furthering sustainability goals across the industry.

Steve Hankey, Head of Commercial and Vendor Management at ege, expressed his satisfaction with the addition of PanzerGlass to their portfolio, noting the increasing importance of protective products as consumers retain their devices longer. Phaedra Rowe, Sales Director at PanzerGlass for the UK, Nordics, Benelux, and France, highlighted that this partnership enhances their presence in the UK, as ege’s market expertise and reach align well with their distribution strategy.
