Recommerce unveils its “Forward Trade-in” solution for electronic devices

Recommerce, the European player in device trade-in and refurbished tech, has introduced its latest offering: the Forward Trade-in program. This new solution is now accessible to a broad range of partners, including telecom providers, retailers, and businesses.

Forward Trade-in provides a flexible path for consumers to upgrade to new electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches while keeping costs manageable. By integrating this model, Recommerce partners can help their customers reduce upfront costs, anticipate future upgrades, and benefit from a guaranteed buy-back price for their current device.

Beyond its financial advantages, the program delivers measurable environmental impact. Devices returned through Forward Trade-in are refurbished and brought back into circulation, promoting a localized circular economy and actively reducing e-waste.

Unlike conventional purchases, where old devices often end up unused in drawers, this model encourages device recovery. It not only boosts the volume of devices collected for refurbishment but also plays a crucial role in prolonging product lifecycles and expanding the reach of the refurbished market.

“We’re proud to expand access to our Forward Trade-in solution, which aligns with our mission to make technology more accessible and more sustainable. Thanks to our proven expertise and robust model, we help our partners launch innovative programs that meet consumer expectations while promoting the circular economy.

The solution is already operational with several partners in France and across Europe, including MediaMarkt in Switzerland, T-Mobile, and various corporate clients for fleet renewal. These initial deployments confirm the model’s viability, both technically and economically », says Augustin Becquet, CEO of Recommerce Solutions.
