RESWAG expands refurbishment in Central Europe

RESWAG has widened its refurbished smartphone programme into Hungary and the Czech Republic, marking another step forward for the region’s fast‑growing circular‑tech economy. With new phone prices continuing to climb well beyond the €1,000 mark, more consumers are looking for sustainable alternatives that deliver reliable performance without the environmental cost of buying new.

Each handset sold through the company’s platforms goes through a structured refurbishment process, including 56 mechanical and software checks, secure data wiping, and cosmetic grading. Devices that fail to meet the required standards are repaired or components replaced, helping to extend the lifespan of technology that would otherwise be prematurely discarded.

The launch also reflects a broader shift across Central Europe, where buyers are increasingly weighing environmental considerations alongside cost. Keeping existing devices in circulation reduces the energy, metals and manufacturing resources required to produce new smartphones. This detailed approach differentiates professionally refurbished devices from ad‑hoc second‑hand sales, giving customers the reassurance of a one‑year warranty and clear information about the quality of the phone they are purchasing.

RESWAG’s entry into these markets aims to make professionally restored devices more accessible and more trusted. As refurbishment standards continue to improve, RESWAG believes the category will become a mainstream alternative for both households and businesses seeking high‑quality, lower‑impact technology.
