Swappie, the European platform for buying and selling refurbished iPhones, has appointed Jussi Lystimäki as its new Chief Executive Officer, starting in May 2025. With over two decades of experience in scaling digital platforms and marketplace businesses, Lystimäki is set to lead the company into its next chapter of expansion and sustainable innovation.

Lystimäki has been involved with Swappie since its early days, initially joining as one of the company’s first investors and board observers in 2017. His professional background includes founding Tori.fi, Finland’s largest online classifieds marketplace, and holding executive roles at Schibsted, where he managed high-performing platforms across Europe. At Adevinta, based in Barcelona, he launched the company’s global venture arm and led strategic investments across top European startup ecosystems. Most recently, he led Schibsted Ventures, supporting more than 50 companies across the Nordics in sectors like e-commerce, fintech, and emerging marketplace models.

“Swappie has all the ingredients needed to lead the refurbished electronics category in Europe — a trusted brand, operational excellence, industry-leading quality and growing consumer demand for sustainable tech,” said Lystimäki.
