Teqcycle has been recognised with a place in the Børsen Bæredygtig Case 2025, celebrating its innovative refurbishment efforts in Denmark. This accolade from Børsen, a highly regarded business publication, highlights the significance of Teqcycle’s work in promoting circularity within the IT sector. The award represents a meaningful endorsement of the company’s commitment to sustainable practices.
Through its collaboration with Foxway, Teqcycle has developed a robust solution for extending the life of computers. By acquiring used devices typically after three years of service, Foxway refurbishes and upgrades them, effectively giving them a second life. This partnership exemplifies a strong commitment to sustainability, allowing valuable materials to be reused and reducing electronic waste.
Choosing refurbished computers not only supports the circular economy but also significantly lowers carbon emissions. Teqcycle’s initiative can reduce emissions by up to 97% compared to purchasing new devices. Refurbished PCs emit an average of just 11.1 kg of CO2, in stark contrast to the 265 kg emitted by new models, highlighting the environmental benefits of their refurbishment strategy.
