Vodafone has introduced a new same-day repair service, “Fix & Go,” at five of its high street stores across the UK. The service, open to all mobile users regardless of their network or warranty, offers repairs for leading brands such as Apple, Samsung, and Google. Common issues, including screen breakages, battery replacements, and charging port or camera lens repairs, can typically be resolved within two hours. Pricing is transparent, starting at £39 for charging port fixes, £49 for battery or camera lens replacements, and up to £119 for screen repairs.
Initially, “Fix & Go” is available at Vodafone outlets in London (White City, Stratford, Oxford Street), Edinburgh (Princes Street), and Cardiff (St David’s Centre), with plans to extend the service to a total of 18 stores later in the year. All repairs are handled by Vodafone-trained technicians, working in partnership with Fonehouse, and are backed by a fresh Vodafone warranty on all replacement parts. This new offering signals a strategic shift for Vodafone, positioning its retail locations as service centres rather than solely points of sale for devices and accessories.
The move comes in response to longstanding consumer frustrations about the time and expense associated with mobile phone repairs. By launching “Fix & Go,” Vodafone aims to make repairs quicker, more affordable, and more accessible, addressing key barriers that have previously discouraged customers from seeking repairs. Jon Shaw, Consumer Operations Director at VodafoneThree, emphasised that the service aligns with the company’s goal to become the top choice for customer experience, underlining Vodafone’s commitment to maintaining a strong high street presence and evolving to meet changing customer needs for device support and aftercare.
