Flip.ro, a platform that offers refurbished phones and tablets, is entering the Greek market, its fourth destination after Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary. Consumers in Greece can buy and sell used phones and tablets on Flip.gr, a platform that restores them to their original state at the headquarters in Bucharest. Whether they are individuals or companies, Greek customers can access the same services as in other countries where Flip operates.
Alin Luca, co-founder of Flip.ro described the implementation of the company in Greece as an act of their “ambitious plan to change the way people in Central and Eastern Europe buy and sell electronics” and the factor that accentuated this decision came from “the desire to meet the growing demand of Greek consumers for easy and safe access to refurbished electronics”.
Flip.ro is a marketplace established at the end of 2019, by 3 young entrepreneurs: Alin Luca, Alex Burghelia and George Moroianu. As one of Romania’s biggest online retailers, From 2021, the company is part of the eMAG group from which it also received funding of 8 million euros, has reached over 190 employees and has already launched in Bulgaria and Hungary.
