Breezy, a subsidiary of ASBISC Group, has launched operations in Azerbaijan, marking its seventh country of operation. The company supports electronics retailers and telecom operators in adopting sustainable practices and promoting the circular economy. Breezy’s expansion plans in Azerbaijan include building a network of Trade-In partners, launching the breezy.az e-commerce platform, and opening Breezy Experience Stores. By the end of 2024, at least one store is expected to open in Baku, the capital city.

In 2023, Breezy refurbished 160,000 phones, reducing CO2 emissions by 12,640 tons and saving customers approximately USD 20 million through its Trade-In system. Breezy operates in seven countries and collaborates with over 40 leading retail chains, telecommunications companies, and suppliers, distributing products through its own network of e-commerce platforms and showrooms. The company is committed to a closed-loop economy, refurbishing devices and safely recycling those that cannot be refurbished.

ASBIS Group’s CEO, Serhei Kostevitch stated that “In ASBIS  we care very much about a sustainable approach to the environment” and that “Breezy combines a dynamic and profitable business development through an ecological approach which perfectly suits our strategy”. Similarly, Andrii Kosar, CEO of Breezy added that “…Our vision is to create a full-cycle business with our own electronics sorting and refurbishment facilities, as well as multi-channel sales. I am convinced that our sustainable solutions will perfectly meet the needs of the dynamically developing economy of Azerbaijan”.
