Free announces its environmentally-friendly Freebox Ultra

Free introduced its eco-friendly and green Freebox Ultra (V9), a bundle that consists of a Freebox Server and a Freebox Player. This mesh repeater, powered by Wi-Fi 7, enhances Wi-Fi connectivity in your home. It uses minimal power and has a customisable full standby mode that cuts energy use by up to 90%.

The Freebox Ultra is an eco-friendly box with several features. One of them is the Wi-Fi eco mode, which adjusts to the devices connected and turns off the unused frequency bands. This saves energy by lowering consumption without affecting connection quality. The box also uses fewer raw materials in its manufacture, reflecting their dedication to the environment. Additionally, the box is designed to be easily repairable and the packaging is made of recycled cardboard without any glue.

The offer comes with a Pocket Wi-Fi 4G with 200 GB of data before the line is activated, then 50 GB/month and the fee is €49.99 per month for one year, then rises to €59.99. Offers are already available for new and old customers, and the new Freebox is already exhibited in stores.
