LG Display showcases sustainability efforts in 2024 ESG Report

LG Display, a global leader in display technology innovation, has unveiled its “2024 ESG Report.” The report highlights the company’s significant activities and achievements over the past year, particularly in advancing eco-friendly technologies and enhancing the ESG capabilities of its suppliers.

LG Display has concentrated on “eco-friendly technology innovation” to address climate change. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the company developed eco-friendly process technologies and upgraded equipment, achieving a high efficiency rate of over 90%. Additionally, LG Display attained the highest water reuse rate in the domestic industry at 74% by continually improving wastewater reuse efficiency.

The company also bolstered its “life cycle assessment” program, which assesses the environmental impact of products throughout their life cycle. In 2024, LG Display completed assessments for 40% of its products, doubling the rate from the previous year, thereby increasing its capacity to produce sustainable and eco-friendly products.

“We will continue to strengthen and develop our ESG management, striving to become a company loved by customers by innovating and creating unique value through ESG management,” said Cheol-dong Jeong, CEO of LG Display, in the report’s greeting section.
