An NHS Trust in England has donated surplus laptops to schools across Essex and Suffolk, giving older technology a second life while supporting students’ access to digital learning. Instead of disposing of devices that were no longer required within the organisation, the laptops were refurbished and redistributed to local educational institutions.

The initiative demonstrates how public sector organisations can embrace circular economy principles by extending the lifespan of IT equipment.
