Renewtech has appointed Claudio Christensen as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a new chapter for the European refurbished IT and circular technology specialist as it continues its international expansion.
Christensen officially took over the role on 18 May 2026, succeeding Bjarne Aarup Andersen, who has led the company through a significant period of transformation, including Trill Impact’s acquisition of the business, its rebranding to Renewtech, and its expansion across multiple European markets.
During Andersen’s tenure, Renewtech evolved from a Danish IT hardware company into a major player in refurbished IT infrastructure and circular IT solutions, establishing operations in Denmark, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy and France while serving customers in more than 80 countries worldwide.
The incoming CEO brings extensive experience from the technology and distribution sectors. Christensen previously held leadership positions at IBM and Solar before most recently serving as Country Managing Director at Ahlsell Danmark, where he oversaw commercial growth, acquisitions and a major ownership transition.
His appointment comes at a time when demand for refurbished IT solutions continues to accelerate as enterprises increasingly prioritize both cost efficiency and sustainability objectives.
“Renewtech has a clear proposition and a strong team,” said Christensen. “The case for refurbished IT is straightforward — it is better for costs, better for sustainability, and increasingly what enterprise customers are looking for.”
A structured transition process is currently underway to ensure continuity for customers, partners and employees. Following the handover, Bjarne Aarup Andersen will remain involved in the business as a member of Renewtech’s Board of Directors.
