The Spanish telecoms group was assessed against thousands of large organisations and achieved a position within the top 100, reflecting its progress in environmental, social and governance performance.

Within the telecommunications sector, Telefónica stood out as one of the strongest performers, ranking among the leading diversified operators globally. Its inclusion highlights ongoing efforts to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact and strengthen responsible business practices across its networks and operations.

The recognition also extended to Telefónica’s Brazilian subsidiary, which was separately included in the ranking. Together, these results underline the group’s broader commitment to sustainability across its international businesses and reinforce the growing importance of ESG performance in the global telecoms industry.
