Orange and Dipli launch Europe’s first operator-led refurbished marketplace

Orange Polska has teamed up with Dipli to introduce a new online marketplace dedicated to certified refurbished smartphones, marking a pioneering step for telecom operators in Europe. The platform is fully integrated into Orange’s digital ecosystem and aims to meet growing consumer demand for affordable, high-quality second-hand devices. According to a recent study, while ownership of refurbished phones remains relatively low in Poland, a significant proportion of buyers of new mobiles are open to switching to refurbished models, highlighting an expanding market opportunity.

Dipli provides the underlying technology and operational framework for the marketplace, enabling Orange to offer a wide selection of refurbished smartphones from multiple certified sellers on a single platform. Each device listed is professionally tested, graded and covered by a 24-month warranty, and real-time pricing ensures competitive offers for customers. Unlike traditional e-commerce models that rely on centralised stock, products are shipped directly from vendors to buyers, simplifying the logistics and ensuring a streamlined purchasing experience.

The partnership reinforces Orange’s broader commitment to the circular economy and sustainable digital retail. By embracing a marketplace model, the company seeks to make device reuse more accessible, reduce electronic waste and deliver a credible alternative to buying new smartphones. This initiative not only broadens Orange’s service offering but also strengthens its role in advancing responsible technology consumption across Europe.
