Preloved Tech shines as finalist in mobile industry’s recycling category

Virgin Media O2’s £500K initiative to combat e-waste

Since its establishment in 2019, Preloved Tech has become a leader in the sustainable recycling and refurbishment of technology. Offering a full suite of services for devices ranging from mobile phones to smartwatches, the company is committed to eco-friendly practices. By refurbishing and reselling or responsibly recycling collected devices, Preloved Tech plays a crucial role in reducing e-waste and fostering a circular economy.

Matt Giles, Managing Director of Preloved Tech expressed his excitement for the achievement, labelling the awards as “very best in the mobile industry” and comment that “…We champion the circular economy with every device we recycle being refurbished and resold into the second-hand market, so to be recognised as a leader in the industry is fantastic”.

This year, Preloved Tech is a proud finalist in the Best Recycling and Refurbishment Service category at the Mobile Industry Awards, contending with major players like Music Magpie and Mazuma Mobile for the coveted title. This nomination underscores Preloved Tech’s dedication to innovation and quality in the tech recycling sector. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony in London on September 12, 2024.
