Circular IT specialist Renewtech has entered the German market through the acquisition of Berlin-based networking equipment provider Esphere Network, marking its third acquisition in just over a year.
The deal strengthens Renewtech’s presence in one of Europe’s largest IT markets and expands its footprint in the enterprise refurbishment sector. Founded in 2011, Esphere Network specializes in refurbished networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper and Arista, serving end-users, resellers and brokers across Germany.
As part of the acquisition, Esphere Network’s founder, Aleksandr Gorkaev, will lead Renewtech’s German operations from Berlin. Existing customers will gain access to Renewtech’s broader portfolio of refurbished server and storage solutions, alongside its networking offerings.
The move comes as demand for circular IT solutions continues to grow, driven by increasing sustainability requirements and pressure on organizations to meet environmental targets. Renewtech believes the acquisition will strengthen its ability to support German businesses seeking cost-effective and sustainable alternatives to new enterprise hardware.
The company has been actively expanding across Europe, having completed acquisitions in Italy, the UK and now Germany within the past 13 months. Esphere Network will officially operate under the Renewtech brand from 15 June 2026.
