New shop brings phone repairs and refurbished devices to Llandrindod Wells

A new mobile phone shop has opened in Llandrindod Wells, offering local residents easier access to repairs and refurbished handsets. Llandrindod Phones began trading on January 5 in the former KDM Local gaming hub on Temple Street, aiming to provide a convenient alternative to travelling to larger towns for assistance with damaged or outdated devices.

Owner Kalsoom Afzal said the shop was launched after noticing how difficult it was for people in the area to find quick, affordable repairs or buy second‑hand phones without going far. The business will focus on screen repairs, battery replacements, software fixes, unlocking services and accessories, as well as buying and selling refurbished smartphones and other electronics such as games consoles.

Afzal hopes the store will become a reliable local hub for mobile support, encouraging residents to make use of nearby services rather than travelling long distances. He says the goal is to offer fast turnaround times, good value and trustworthy advice, helping the community keep devices in use for longer and reducing the need to replace tech unnecessarily.
